I understand people consider me a toxic troll now, and I apologize for the bad image I put on myself. I've been playing Karma for over a year now, and I have seen the community both evolve and grow. I am fairly known in the community so being able to fit in as a staff member shouldn't be too hard. I have a fair amount of experience in source mod and staffing so normal staff training shouldn't need much practice other than Karma Policy and following staff guidelines. I'm also a Dev Trainee, actively learning the development side of the server while actively giving my constructive input. I've been playing combat surfing since late 2015, till today. 6 years of combat surfing gives me the general knowledge and experience which makes me a good well-known player while having the confidence to suspect someone of cheating. I've been with the Karma Community for a fairly long time, and I realize this is a community in which I want to be more a part of as both an active member and staff member. I want to capitalize on the fact that I am a friendly individual who can help keep a positive atmosphere for players both new and old. I genuinely believe this community could benefit from my experience in staffing, plugin development (i have a fair bit of knowledge,) and communication. I am a user that strives to bring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for those who currently play and will join. I wish the best for this community and want to help it grow to the best of my ability. Thank you for your time looking over this, and I am extremely grateful to be a part of this community no matter the position.
What do you think makes a good staff member
A good staff member is an individual who can properly conduct chat while maintaining a peaceful, yet enjoyable environment within the server. Staff need to conduct and control chat, as well as actively interact with the player-base. Staff members should not lose their cool and be able to maintain situations without getting angry or stepping out of their position. As a staff member, it is important that the member be able to socialize and instruct players with a humble yet firm approach. It’s about being approachable when help is needed, and friendly enough to socialize with. A nice balance between being strict and being lenient.
