Do you have any previous NON CS, TF|2, or Apex staff/admin experience Yes If so, details In my outside life I am a cyber-security professional and full-stack developer, both freelance, and I will often pick up jobs on a contract basis, during which I will most often have to pick up other contractors under me and work as a sort of Admin/Manager for the duration of the contract. Which Karma server are you applying for R5Reloaded How long have you been playing on karma servers >3 Months What is your primary time zone (closest to you) Eastern USA How many HOURS PER DAY do you play (average) 8 How many DAYS PER WEEK do you play 7 What additional talents/skills could you bring to the staff team As I said before I am a cyber-security professional with almost 10 certifications in the field, as well, I am a well seasoned full-stack web developer with knowledge in multiple web design/general languages within that field; outside of those things I have an in depth knowledge of Apex Legends, as I am a recently retired comp/pl coach, and have worked with over 60 individual students and around 10 teams/orgs in my career. I took interest in the Apex comp scene around season 6-7 when I transferred from Rocket League to Apex Legends, seeing orgs like CGL or Oversight working on scrims; or peeking around Guilded for the goings-on, so to say. All in all, I think I am well rounded, and a bit of a jack of all trades; I know a little about a lot of things, and if I don't know something, I will always try to find it out. What do you think makes a good staff member A good member of staff is never in it for themselves, they always have the safety and progress of the community (including other staff members) and the organization they work for in the forefront of their mind; and their actions reflect that sentiment on a consistent basis. I also believe that a good member of any staff team is always communicating, and able to realize that there are some issues they cannot fix on their own, that progress is, and will always be a team effort. A staff member should, in my opinion, be always adapting where possible, especially when in a setting like this where you are often engaging with an entire community of people, people come to your space with entirely different experiences and thoughts, being able to adapt your ideas and your words to better help everyone of all different walks of life, while at the same time upholding the core values of themselves and the organization they represent, will contribute wonderfully to the community and help to push it forward in a positive direction. |
