| Owner (Karma Source)  Posts: 305 | Hi everyone, There were too many changes for a short change log, so in this post I’ll detail changes that are relevant to Karma Servers and our players specifically. For a full list of Flowstate changes, see Cafe’s ReadMe here. ACROSS THE BOARD Servers have been rebuilt from the ground up. Every server should be considered BETA until removed from server title. Health bars have been added Player outlines have been added Controller: Per-Optic Advanced Look Controls (ALC) have been added NEW MAPS (Arena*): - Phase Runner - Encore Weapon stats have been updated to values from the start of S21.** - Why not S22/S23? Not possible yet, this requires further reverse engineering efforts. If you want to see that in the future, consider donating to Amos (link below). *Reminder: World’s Edge is still the only ALGS map we have, and it’s still an older version; however, Olympus is in beta, and there might be newer maps in R5R soon. **Exceptions include the Prowler and EVA-8, which were updated to S20 and S19 values respectively, as these were the most recent non-care package values that could be found. Keep in mind that these are just updated weapon stats, not new weapons. There are still no Akimbos, no Nemesis, and the newer guns we do have like the Sentinel and CAR are a bit scuffed. NEW SERVER: ZONE WARS We are thrilled to debut Zone Wars. The concept is simple: allow players to get more reps in on final ring fights, eliminating early game and downtime to the extent possible, and simulating endgame circumstances as well as possible (taking into the account in the constraints in which R5R has to operate). Thank you to Balvarine for helping me with the idea phase, to CafeFPS for developing the gamemode, and mkos for all his help. How does Zone Wars work? - You join the server and are placed in a queue - Eventually you are placed into a match and choose your legend (reminder: R5R has the following legends only: Bloodhound, Gibraltar, Lifeline, Pathfinder, Wraith, Bangalore, Caustic, Mirage, Octane, Wattson, and Crypto) - After legend select, you are placed in the final ring on a random (non-outdated) World’s Edge POI with a “meta” loadout, heals, a grenade, ult accels, and then fight until there is a winner - Supports up to a maximum of 5 teams of 3 players each in a single match, but there can be multiple matches going on in a server simultaneously - This server is like a freight train. When you first join, match quality might be lower, but once there are 15-30+ players in queue, things get crazy - For now, this is a solo queue gamemode CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENTS: 1v1 Optics have returned. If you want to quickly toss a 3x or whatever on your AR, you can, just check your inventory We are loosely planning to host multiple configs ex. a server with old loadouts (including R99, Wingman, Havoc, etc.), and a server with new loadouts (including Mastiff, PK, Prowler, etc.). Reminder: player slots, loadouts, and spawns are always subject to change based on observed behavior and community feedback. TESTING NEW SERVER: COMBAT9K Inspired by a Titanfall 2 gamemode with the same name: Titanfall 2 movement settings with 9000 air acceleration. Come try out our 9k server and take the Source engine to its limits. This movement PvP server has been on and off in testing for about a year and is finally being released with insane unlocked movement and a unique set of movement tech never-before-seen in Apex. - Gameplay Video* - Tutorial Video* *Videos are from TF|2 but the same applies TESTING NEW SERVER: FAST INSTAGIB This new gamemode by Cafe is inspired by gamemodes such as Ratz Instagib and Unreal Instagib. Use your hitscan railgun’s right-click to jump off of surfaces, and left click to one-shot kill your opponents. Overall movement is souped up as well just to add to the chaos. TESTING NEW SERVER: FFA DM OGs rejoice.
